Former US Open champion Wyndham Clark reportedly ‘got after it’ in the locker room at Oakmont after he missed the cut by one stroke, according to a report.
Clark came into the third men’s major of the year in Pennsylvania hoping to get back to his best.
The golfer broke into the top five of the world rankings with his first major win at Los Angeles Country Club two years ago but has been on a steady decline since.
Clark, 31, finished in the top 50 at both The Masters and PGA Championship but will undoubtedly believe he is capable of so much more.
But it was not to be this week, with the three-time PGA Tour winner carding consecutive rounds of 74 to miss the 36-hole cut by one stroke.
No Laying Up’s Tron Carter has now claimed from ‘multiple sources’ that Clark ‘really got after it’ in the locker room when it was confirmed he wouldn’t be sticking around for the weekend.
“Multiple sources confirming that the Blow Pig really got after it in the Oakmont locker room,” wrote Carter on X.
Carter and the hosts of the podcast refer to Clark as the ‘Blow Pig’.
“Super classy, desecrating one of the most historic spots in golf AND on the heels of his behaviour at Quail Hollow,” he added.
“Probably time to put him in the cooler for a few months.”

Carter was referring to the fact that the golfer lost his temper during the final round at the PGA Championship.
Clark hit a poor drive down the 16th hole and decided to launch his driver into an advertising board behind him.
The driver head snapped clean off an Clark tossed the shaft of the club off the tee box.
He was quick to apologise, writing on Instagram: “As professionals, we are expected to remain professional even when frustrated and I unfortunately let my emotions get the best of me.
“My actions were uncalled for and completely inappropriate, making it clear that I have things I need to work on.
“I hold myself to a high standard, trying to always play for something bigger than myself, and yesterday I fell short of those standards.
“For that I am truly sorry. I promise to better the way I handle my frustrations on the course going forward, and hope you all can forgive me in due time.”
GolfMagic contacted the USGA for comment over Carter’s claim.
A spokesperson said: “As it relates to player conduct, we work directly with players and their teams.
“In the event we have any information to share, we would do so at the appropriate time.”
