BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. – The Winona State University men’s golf team competed at the NSIC Preview Invitational on Monday, March 24 and Tuesday, March 25 taking home fourth place overall as a team with Tyler Gandrud placing second individually.
With the Warriors coming off a first-place finish at the Vegas Warrior Invitational in Henderson, Nevada, they looked to continue momentum and that they did competing in a field of 18 teams placing fourth.
Peyton Coahran shot a 142 (-2) in the two rounds, placing eighth individually in the field. Following up Coahran was Logan Chouinard carding a 143 (-1) in the two rounds, placing 12th individually. Max Jericho shot two even rounds to shoot a 144 (E) placing top 15. Luke Maas carded a 148 (+4) and Diego Olano rounded out the Warriors team with a 152 (+8).
The Warriors had three individuals compete with freshman Tyler Gandrud shooting a big 138 (-6) placing him second individually out of a field of 114. Javier Ramos Casariego shot a 145 (+1) and Tyler Johnson competed as an individual carding a 153 (+9).
The Winona State University men’s golf team is next in action on Monday, April 7 and Tuesday, April 8 at the Firekeeper Open in Mayetta, Kansas.
