TEAM NEWS: Charlton Athletic vs Derby County – Blog


Derby County’s line-up for their Sky Bet Championship meeting with Charlton Athletic has been confirmed.

Head Coach John Eustace has made three changes from the side that secured maximum points against Preston North End at the weekend.

The Rams’ clash against the Addicks, the second of a busy three-game week, sees Sondre Langås donning the captain’s armband in South London, with Lewis Travis rested on the bench after his recent return to action from injury.

Liam Thompson, who was a second-half substitute at Deepdale on Saturday, returns to the middle of the park with David Ozoh and Bobby Clark also beginning at The Valley.

Craig Forsyth returns to the backline with Matt Clarke, Joe Ward and Langås also named on the team sheet.

Former Charlton winger Corey Blackett-Taylor will also make a starting berth at the place he called home for two and a half seasons before joining the Rams in January 2023.

Substitutes: Price (GK), Brewster, Weimann, Salvesen, Jackson, Elder, Nyambe, Travis, Fraulo.

Please note: Richard O’Donnell came in as a late change for Jacob Widell Zetterström, who was ruled out through illness.

Harley Price was then named on the bench.
