Springville golf course closed after high winds uproot trees

Hobble Creek Golf Course will be closed for several days after strong overnight winds caused extensive tree damage.

Photos shared by the business Sunday morning showed numerous trees uprooted across the course at 94 Hobble Creek Canyon Road in Springville.

Officials said the course will be closed “for at least the next couple of days” while crews assess and clear the damage.

The damage occurred while a High Wind Warning was in effect in the area, with gusts forecast to exceed 60 mph. The warning was lifted Sunday morning.
