Men’s Golf: Macalester Takes 12th at Bobby Krig Invite


Le SUEUR, Minn. – The Macalester College men’s golf team competed in the Bobby Krig Invitational, hosted by Gustavus at Le Sueur Country Club Friday and Saturday. The Scots finished with a three-round score of 930 to take 12th out of 15 teams.

First year Aaron Cheng (Mountain View, Calif./Taipei American School) had an outstanding tournament, carding a 75 72 74 – 221 to tie for ninth individually. First year Liam Sarmiento (Sioux Falls, S.D./O’Gorman) tied for 36th with a three-round score of 231. Juniors Harry Cheng (Taipei, Taiwan/Heping Municipal) and Ben d’Entremont (Cranston, R.I./Moses Brown School) were separated by one shot, with Cheng shooting a 242 and d’Entremont finishing with a score of 243. Senior Sean Sebrey (Union, Maine/Medomak Valley) and first years Rio Pearlstein (Needham, Mass./Milton Academy) and Yaqi Miao (Shanghai, China/Montverde Academy) also competed for the Scots.

Macalester closes out the 2025 season at the Saint John’s Spring Invite April 26-27 at Monticello Country Club..
