JUCO Transfer Leonie Krausse To Join Women’s Golf Program

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV women’s golf program has received a signed commitment from junior college transfer Leonie Krausse to join the Rebels in the fall 2025 season, head coach Amy Bush-Herzer announced Thursday.

“We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Leonie to our program this fall,” said Bush-Herzer. “Her consistent performance at the junior college level, coupled with her exceptional work ethic, makes her a perfect fit for our team. We’re eager to see her contribute to the success of our program both on and off the course.”

Originally from Germany, Krausse ranks among the top-5 players in the NJCAA rankings as a freshman at Seminole State College in Sanford, Florida. This season at SSC, she has recorded three top-10 finishes, a season-low round of 70 (-2) and a season-best tournament score of even par in the Flagler College Fall Slam.

Krausse has also found success at tournaments across her home country and in other international competitions. Her top performances include wins at the 2024 Wilson Juniors International, the 2023 Magix Moments Juniors International and 2023 Schleswig-Holstein State Championship, as well as a second-place finish at the 2024 GJG Finnish Juniors International.

The addition of Krausse gives the Scarlet & Gray five 2025 signees, including her SSC teammate Jane Huang who is also transferring to UNLV. The signing class also features Demi Du (Las Vegas, NV/Shenzhen, Guangdong, China), Yen Liu (New Taipei, Taiwan) and Lana Yamagata (South Pasadena, CA).
