Leeds United confirmed our latest signing of a productive summer transfer window, bringing in experienced defender James Justin.
The 27-year-old arrives at Elland Road on a four-year deal from Leicester City, with extensive knowledge of the Premier League having made 99 appearances at the top level.
Justin can also boast European and international football on his CV, as well as having won the FA Cup during his time with the Foxes.
“Obviously to join a club of this size and to have the history it has had, and being back in the Premier League was a massive thing for me, so I’m over the moon to have joined,” our new signing began, speaking about his reasons for the move.
“It’s been a while since I’ve known of the interest, but obviously I was still a Leicester player, so I had to give my all for Leicester whilst I was there.
“That’s something obviously that you can expect from me when I put on a Leeds shirt, is to give my all when I’m on the pitch. But for it to finally have happened, it’s taken a weight off my shoulders for sure.
“Everyone that I’ve spoken to about the club and the area has had great things to say about it. So I’m excited to join the lads and get to work.”
With the Premier League season now underway and having played against the Whites before in his career, James is looking forward to returning to Elland Road on the home side this time.
“The stadium has obviously got one of the best atmospheres in world football,” he stated.
“And it’s always a daunting task to come here as an opposing team, but I’m happy to have the fans behind me this time.
“Hopefully I can put on the shirt in front of the fans and show them what I can do, if selected, and hopefully I can train up until then to get myself ready as possible.”
