GREENSBORO, Ga. – The South Dakota State women’s golf team is tied for seventh place following the opening round of the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational at National Golf Course.
The Jackrabbits tallied a +21 scorecard Friday, which has them 10 shots behind Florida at the top of the leaderboard.
Piper Stubbs, playing in the No. 1 spot for the Jacks, is in a tie for seventh place with a 2-over scorecard. The senior tallied 13 holes at par and recorded an eagle on hole eight.
Molly O’Hara and Shakira-Ann Kuys are tied for 19th place with matching 4-over tallies. O’Hara had three birdies on the day and Kuys had two. Reese Jansa is tied for 72nd (+11) and Tatum Depuydt is in 77th place (+12).
East Carolina’s Macie Burcham and Western Kentucky’s Catie Craig are tied for medalist position at 1-under par.
The second round of the event will tee off at 11 a.m. Saturday and the final 18 holes will be played Sunday.
