Frank Lampard has made two changes to his Coventry City side from Boxing Day as the team face Ipswich Town at the CBS Arena.

There are two straight swaps this evening with Miguel Brau coming in for Jake Bidwell at left-back and Haji Wright replacing Ellis Simms up top as the Sky Blues boss rotates a couple of his players on a night when Bobby Thomas continues to be out with a calf strain.

That means former Town defender Luke Woolfenden continues at right-sided centre-half alongside Liam Kitching at the heart of the back four where Milan van Ewijk is once again at right-back.

Matt Grimes and Victor Torp continue in the central midfield positions while Tatsuhiro Sakamoto will operate on the right wing and Ephron Mason-Clark on the left. That leaves Jack Rudoni once again in the number ten attacking midfield role behind lone striker Wright.

Simms provides back-up from the bench as Lampard’s only attacking option amongst his substitutes which is otherwise packed with defenders and midfielders.

City: Carl Rushworth; Milan van Ewijk, Luke Woolfenden, Liam Kitching, Miguel Brau; Matt Grimes, Victor Torp; Tatsuhiro Sakamoto, Jack Rudoni, Ephron Mason-Clark; Haji Wright.

Subs: Ben Wilson (GK), Jake Bidwell, Kaine Kesler-Hayden, Josh Eccles, Jamie Allen, Ellis Simms, Joel Latibeaudiere, Kai Andrews, Callum Perry.
