Latest Derby County news from DerbyshireLive brings you how the Rams loanees have got on in their most recent games
Derby County completed a serious overhaul of their squad this summer as they signed 13 players and let 13 leave in what was a productive transfer window.
While some players were released at the end of last season, Derby did grant loan moves to four players before the market closed for business with first-team chances limited for those who left Pride Park.
Kenzo Goudmijn was the headline departure as he sealed a return to the Netherlands to sign for Go Ahead Eagles while Ben Osborn sealed a season-long loan deal to join Stockport County.
Dajaune Brown and Jake Rooney joined Port Vale and Barnsley respectively with loan moves for both players seen as beneficial for their development.
Here’s how they got on in their latest fixtures.
Kenzo Goudmijn
The last two games have not gone entirely according to plan for the midfielder who is currently on loan at Go Ahead Eagles for the season.
He was substituted at half-time of the Europa League clash against Stuttgart which Eagles lost 4-0 at home.
He was again afforded a start against FC Utrecht, but again was replaced at half-time of the Eredivisie clash as Eagles found themselves 2-0 down at the break.
However, they did fight back to claim a 2-2 draw.
Jake Rooney
Rooney has featured on the bench for Barnsley but has been an unused substitute under former Rams captain Conor Hourihane.
In fact his last slice of action for the Tykes came at the start of November when he played in an EFL Trophy clash against Lincoln City.
On that occasion, he played little over an hour before he was replaced.
Ben Osborn
The midfielder has been a superb signing for Stockport who look a good bet to challenge for promotion to the Championship.
Dave Challinor clearly trusts the midfielder and he has been rewarded with some excellent displays from the former Sheffield United player.
However, Osborn, who has been a regular fixture in the starting XI, was forced to come off before half-time of the win at Tranmere Rovers in the FA Cup.
However, he did return against Barnsley recently as the Hatters secured a 1-1 draw, having come off the bench at half-time.
The Hatters are currently fifth in the League One table.
Dajaune Brown
The striker has found his feet for Vale in the EFL Trophy and was among the scorers in midweek when he netted in a 5-0 hammering of Barnsley on Tuesday.
That was the second goal he has scored for the club which followed on from his strike in the same competition in a 3-3 draw against Fleetwood.
The challenge for Brown is to now convert that form into the league.
