Colonie, NY — The Town of Colonie Golf Course is set to open its 2025 season with a significant renovation project. Colonie Town Supervisor Peter G. Crummey announced that the first 18 holes of the 36-hole course will open on Tuesday, April 15, at 1 PM, with the remaining holes opening as weather conditions allow.
Supervisor Crummey said,
I am looking forward to another outstanding season at our Town Golf Course. As always, I will continue my efforts to revitalize our Town Parks, which includes the Town of Colonie Golf Course. With the support of the Town Board and based on the previously adopted Master Plan, restoration of our 36-hole golf course has begun under the supervision of nationally renowned golf course architect Stephen Kay.
The restoration plan has been available on the Town’s website since 2023, providing residents with detailed information about the project.
Parks and Recreation Department Superintendent Jeff Madden assured that “the course is in great shape and will continue to operate during the restoration process.”
Tee times can be booked online, and this year, only credit card payments will be accepted.
In addition to the golf course renovations, Supervisor Crummey highlighted the success of the town’s youth tennis camps, which led to the introduction of a youth golf camp.
The camp will run for three separate weeks this summer, starting July 14, 2025, from 9 AM to 12 PM, for children aged 8 through 13.
More information is available on the Town’s website.
