The Dekalb County High School Golf Team competed in the Region 4 A Golf Tournament on Monday at Golden Eagle Golf Course in Cookeville.  The boys team finished in 3rd place out of six teams with a score of 323.  The team was led by Bradley Hale’s 77.  Will Blair fired an 80, Abram Koegler and Cooper Goodwin shot 83, and Jamison Troncoso finished with 89.  The Tigers finished the season with a record of 29-25.  “I am really going to miss these seniors,” said Coach John Pryor, “they have played a lot of golf for DCHS and have always done us proud.”

The Lady Tigers finished in 2nd place out of six teams with a score of 164.  Chloe Boyd shot 77 to finish in 5th, and Emily Anderson shot an 87.  While the second-place finish ended the season for the team, Chloe earned a spot as an individual at the TSSAA State Tournament next week in Sevierville.  “Emily has been so awesome for four years, I enjoyed her being on the team and will miss her.  Chloe was Chloe, she didn’t play up to her standards but is so good she fought her way through to the State.  I expect her to bring her A game next week; it will be fun to watch!”  The Lady Tigers finished the season with 37-7.
