2025 U.S. Open leaderboard live coverage: Scoreboard updates, golf scores, tee times for Round 1 at Oakmont

OAKMONT, Pa. — Seventy-two holes of struggle await the eventual 2025 U.S. Open winner as Oakmont Country Club is prepared to bare its teeth for a 156-man field all seeking to claim the national championship. The par-70 course is hosting the USGA’s signature tournament and the third major championship of the season for a record 10th time with golfers attempting to transverse its difficult landscape for the first time in nine years.

Out in front entering the tournament is none other than Scottie Scheffler, who enters as the most decisive favorite at a major since Tiger Woods in 2009 coming into Oakmont at 11/4 to end the weekend hoisting the U.S. Open trophy. Should Scheffler meet those expectations, he would conquer a third leg of the career grand slam and claim his fourth tournament in five starts. Among those looking to knock him off his pedestal are 2025 Masters champion Rory McIlroy, reigning U.S. Open champion Bryson DeChambeau, surging Spaniard Jon Rahm and a bevy of other Americans like Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa, who are still trying to breakthrough this season.

CBS Sports will update this story with scores and highlights from the 125th U.S. Open below. Check out the live scores at the top of the page, Round 1 tee times and our complete U.S. Open TV schedule and coverage guide.
