Men’s Golf Shoots 312 in First Round of Trinity Invitational

HARTFORD, Conn. | The FSC men’s golf team sits in a tie for seventh place after finishing with a team total of 312 (+24) in the opening round of the Trinity Invitational on Saturday. Amherst currently leads the field of 16 teams after firing a 296 (+8) in the first round. Trinity (Conn.) College has two teams competing with both sitting in the top-5. 

Farmingdale State senior Brad Castaldy (Dix Hills, N.Y.) led the Rams with a one-over-par, 73. He tallied a pair of birdies and sits in a tie for fifth place individually.

Sophomore Padruig Douglas (Northport, N.Y.) was second on FSC with a 79 (+7), while both senior Mackenzie Kim (East Quogue, N.Y.) and sophomore Liam Blanc (Fairfield, Conn.) had 80’s (+8) on day one.

The Rams continue play in Hartford with the second round of the Trinity Invitational on Sunday (April 6).
