Following the incident, Kusale filed a complaint at the Yerawada police station. Based on this, an FIR was lodged on April 1 under Sections 125 and 228 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against the Poona Club Golf Course management and an unidentified individual.
Responding to the allegations, Poona Club Golf Course captain Ikram Khan refuted the possibility of such an occurrence. “The course is designed by experts with comprehensive safety measures, including high nets and strict protocols to prevent golf balls from leaving the premises,” he stated.
Senior Police Inspector Ravindra Shelke confirmed the registration of the FIR and said that an investigation is underway to verify the details and establish accountability in the matter.
