St Mirren issue warning to Celtic fans ahead of SPFL clash

There were hopes that a new manager would be in place only for the club to confirm that Martin O’Neill and Shaun Maloney would remain in charge.

Away fans are always desperate to get a ticket and in advance of the game on Saturday night, a statement from the Buddies has been released.

Celtic fans reminded about trying to purchase home end tickets

St Mirren’s away end holds an allocation of 1,654, meaning it is a scramble to get a golden ticket to be in the away end.

It is unlikely that the hosts will sell out but, in order to avoid having away fans enter in the home end, measures have been taken place such as having to have a booking history.

On their club website, it said: “Additional tickets are only available to season ticket holders from this season and last season online using the email address they used when buying their season ticket.

“Non-season ticket holders that have purchased tickets for (and subsequently attended) at least two home league matches (excluding v Celtic or Rangers) at The SMiSA Stadium this season can only purchase directly at the St Mirren Ticket Office or by calling the Ticket Office on 0141-840-6130.”

Celtic hope to end 38-year wait to match record vs St Mirren

Celtic have been on a hot streak of late against St Mirren, winning all five of their previous away games against the Buddies in all competitions.

They’ve scored two or more goals in all of those encounters and three points in Paisley would mean they have won six successive away games against St Mirren for the first time since September 1978.

Stephen Robinson’s record doesn’t make for good reading either after only winning one of 30 meetings between the two teams.

All roads seem to lead to three points for Celtic.
