Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko left all Man Utd fans in full agreement after 2-2 Nottingham Forest draw

Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko had Manchester United fans on the same wavelength after the Red Devils secured a 2-2 draw against Nottingham Forest.

The Red Devils took the lead in the first half after Bruno Fernandes whipped in a corner and Casemiro towered above everyone and headed home the opener.

Matz Sels was unable to deny Casemiro’s header from landing in the bottom corner of his net, with Manchester United 1-0 up against Nottingham Forest at half-time.

United switched off against Forest after the break and Morgan Gibbs-White beat Senne Lammens with a powerful header only three minutes into the second half.

The Red Devils were stunned in the 50th minute after Nicolo Savona pounced on the loose ball and the Forest defender tapped his effort past a helpless Senne Lammens.

Nicolo Savona and Morgan Gibbs-White might have scored for Forest, but United were able to snatch a point after a stunning long-range volley from Amad Diallo.

Man Utd fans’ reaction to Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko after the result against Nottingham Forest spoke volumes

Both Benjamin Sesko and Matheus Cunha started against Nottingham Forest and the two Manchester United summer signings saw out the full 90 minutes on Saturday.

However, United fans were left questioning how Ruben Amorim did not make the call to withdraw the aforementioned pair in the second half for key substitutions.

One Red Devils supporter wrote: “Sesko and Cunha out for [Mason] Mount and [Joshua] Zirkzee.”

Another posted: “Sesko [and] Cunha look knackered. Mount [and] Zirkzee are right there.”

“Mount for Cunha. Cunha doesn’t look fit,” a third claimed.

Somebody else said: “Cunha ain’t performing and Mount is still warming the bench.”

“This type of [match] screams for Mason Mount. Should’ve started ahead of Cunha,” a fifth United fan added.

A sixth X user tweeted: “I can’t believe Cunha [and] Mount are playing 80 minutes in this match.”

“Make attacking changes now. Zirkzee for Sesko, Mount for Cunha. Maybe [Harry] Maguire comes in for late set pieces,” another commented.

And an eighth suggested: “Cunha off for Mount/Zirk [sic] should have been the 60th minute sub. IDK [I don’t know] why he’s still on the pitch, clearly not his day.”

Keeping Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko on has come back to haunt Man Utd manager Ruben Amorim

Amad Diallo came to United’s rescue late in the second half and Ruben Amorim was fortunate not to be left red-faced with a defeat after his side blew a 2-0 lead.

Cunha and Sesko failed to swing the momentum back in United’s favour by finding a potential winner and the United manager will be left to rue his tactical changes.

Joshua Zirkzee, Mason Mount and Kobbie Mainoo were all available on the bench and Amorim did not turn to a single one of them while United were trailing the tie.

United will hit the road again for their final Premier League match ahead of the international break, with the Red Devils facing Tottenham on 8th November.

Thomas Frank’s Spurs side will host the Red Devils at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for a 12:30pm kick-off time in the UK for next Saturday’s clash.
