What Lech Poznan are saying about Luis Palma, as Polish giants could buy Celtic star for record fee

Let’s be honest, it was a win-win situation for all parties when Luis Palma left Celtic for Lech Poznan in the summer.

Palma just couldn’t find the spark at Celtic, so it was the right call to loan him out for the season, as he joined Polish giants Lech Poznan.

That switch has worked wonders for Palma because he is producing the goods, and perhaps leaving Celtic wondering why he couldn’t perform in their colours.

As of this moment, Palma is on loan at Lech Poznan, but those at the Ekstraklasa side are pondering changing that, and it would take a record transfer fee to do so.

Luis Palma is shining at Lech Poznan after Celtic struggles

Polish outlet Goal have claimed that Palma’s loan deal, as of this current moment, has proven to be a ‘resounding success.’

It even labelled Palma as ‘one of the leaders’ for Poznan, who started their Europa Conference League campaign with a win, including four points behind Gornik Zabrze in the league with a game in hand.

It has been added that the 25-year-old has showcased ‘exceptional skills’ – something which was clearly missing for the champions of Scotland – and his efforts are being appreciated by the Kolejorz fans.

But if Poznan want to buy Palma, it will take a ‘record fee’ for a team in Poland’s top-tier, and despite suggestions it could be ‘£4.5 million’, it’s actually ‘£3.5 million’, according to the sources of Goal.pl.

How Palma has rated at Lech Poznan

Yes, the Celtic Park faithful will be wondering where these types of performances were in the green and white colours.

But just hope Palma can continue these performances, and Celtic can get as much of the £3.5 million they paid Aris FC for his services.
