Pinmar, the world’s leading superyacht painting and refit company, has announced that it will not move forward with plans to revive its renowned Pinmar Golf Tournament in 2025. Instead, the company will focus on supporting existing industry golf events through sponsorship, aligning with its commitment to collaboration, networking, and charitable fundraising.
The decision comes as Pinmar celebrates its 50th anniversary, marking half a century of excellence in superyacht services. While initial plans included a one-off return of the Pinmar Golf Tournament, the company ultimately decided against reintroducing the event to avoid oversaturating the industry’s social calendar.
Since the tournament’s grand finale in 2019, several new golf events have successfully established themselves, becoming key fixtures in the superyacht industry’s networking and fundraising scene.
Recognising this shift, Pinmar CEO Remy Millott explained the reasoning behind the decision. “After experiencing the incredible golf events that have flourished across the industry, it became clear that bringing back The Pinmar Golf could affect the momentum and enthusiasm for these newly established tournaments. These events have taken up the mantle of catering to the superyacht community at an exceptionally high level, and we want to ensure they continue to thrive.”

Rather than hosting its own tournament, Pinmar will support these events through strategic sponsorship, reinforcing its dedication to charitable fundraising and meaningful industry engagement. The company has already secured a key sponsorship role as an Event Partner for the BOAT International & Voly Group Invitational at Camiral Golf & Wellness Resort in Barcelona.
Millott further emphasised that this decision aligns with Pinmar’s long-term goals. “We’re proud to sponsor several of the leading industry golf tournaments, ensuring their continued success while strengthening our commitment to collaboration within the superyacht community. By supporting existing events rather than adding another to the calendar, we can maximise our positive impact.”
Despite stepping back from its golf tournament, Pinmar still has a major celebration planned for 2025. The company will host a 50th anniversary event to honour the dedication of its employees, bringing together over 400 team members from across Europe and the USA. The milestone will also be an opportunity to recognise the company’s longstanding clients and reflect on its legacy.
While the Pinmar Golf Tournament may not be making a return, the company’s influence on the industry remains as strong as ever. Through sponsorships, collaborations, and ongoing investments in its workforce and services, Pinmar continues to shape the future of the superyacht sector.
