The Swans are still playing the waiting game in their bid to make their 12th signing of the summer
Swansea City are still waiting to see if their loan move for Burnley winger Manuel Benson has been successful.
The Swans had reached an agreement on deadline day with the Premier League side to take the 28-year-old on a season-long loan, but are still awaiting the green light on a move from authorities.
The key consideration at this stage is whether the necessary paperwork for the move was submitted on time.

The Tigers winger would go on to complete a loan move to Getafe, causing Swansea to switch attention to Benson, who hasn’t made a single appearance for the Clarets and doesn’t appear to be part of Scott Parker’s first-team plans.
Swansea are understood to be hopeful that a deal will still be completed, but it’s not yet clear when a decision will be reached.
For now, they are forced to play the waiting game.
The winger has yet to be named in a matchday squad so far this season, not even featuring in the all-changed Clarets line-up that took on Derby County in the Carabao Cup last week.
Should his loan move be confirmed, Benson would be the 12th arrival of what’s been a hugely busy summer for the Swans.
As well as moving for the winger, City also snapped up striker Adam Idah from Celtic on deadline day, in a move believed to be around £6million.
Young left-back Ishe Samuels-Smith also came on board, although his loan from Chelsea wasn’t confirmed until Tuesday morning.
The club also saw three departures on the final day of the summer window.
Ollie Cooper left for League One Wigan Athletic, while youngster Joel Cotterill joined Bristol Rovers.
Filip Lissah, meanwhile, has linked up with fellow youngster Kyrell Wilson at Falkirk.
Finally, Josh Ginnelly has seen his stay at the club ended, with the winger leaving the Swans by mutual consent.
