2025 PGA Championship leaderboard: Live coverage, scoreboard updates, golf scores today in Round 1

CHARLOTTE — Inclement weather has subsided at Quail Hollow Club as the 107th playing of the PGA Championship is finally underway. Featuring the deepest field of the season, the 2025 PGA Championship may begin with a field of 156 players, but on Thursday, it will be headlined by one group in particular. The top three players in the game will share a tee time across the first two rounds with Rory McIlroy (the career-grand slam winner and a four-time champion at this course), world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler (seeking his first major championship away from the friendly confines of Augusta National) and Xander Schauffele (twice a major winner last season) all set to take the course together.

Beyond those three, two-time U.S. Open champion Bryson DeChambeau and two-time PGA champion Justin Thomas are among the favorites in the field. Thomas won the Wanamaker Trophy the last time this tournament was played at Quail Hollow in 2017. Meanwhile, Jordan Spieth searches for the last trophy missing from his major championship mantle. Will the golden child become a made man and follow McIlroy’s Masters heroics with some of his own at the PGA Championship to similarly complete the career grand slam? The answer may not be revealed on Thursday, but the first 18 holes will provide plenty of clues.
