Moving Day has arrived in Charlotte with Round 3 of the 2025 PGA Championship commencing as the best golfers in the world battle for the second major of the season. While some of those top names surprisingly failed to make the 36-hole cut, the likes of Scottie Scheffler, Max Homa and Si Woo Kim will all be battling for an inside track at the Wanamaker Trophy on Saturday.
None of those notable names top the leaderboard entering the third round, however. That honor belongs to Jhonattan Vegas, who is one of three golfers that have posted a 64 thus far at Quail Hollow. The others, Kim and Homa, are respectively two and three shots back. all three are seeking their first career major. That is not the case for Scheffler, of course, though the two-time Masters winner is trying to break through and win a major at a course other than Augusta National Golf Club. Scheffler enters Round 3 as the heavy favorite despite sitting three back of Vegas, but by the time 54 holes have elapsed, it’s possible everyone else in the field is looking up at him.
